Grab A Bike Not Your Heart

I have not really been in touch with my folks and siblings for about 10

years I became a bit worried when I talked to a relative

who I discovered on the web and he informed me that my old mans brother had a triple

bypass operation and his sister had a pace maker fitted.

The fact that both of them had heart attacks instantly placed me on code

red for any possible issues that might indicate a potential heart condition. I didn’t instantly go out and buy a Zoll M

defibrillator on the off chance my heart went into fibrillation but it did shake me up a bit.

I had just placed my business on the shelf for a while and had been comfort eating a bit, which had put the pounds on, 14 stone at 6 foot for me isn’t a healthy weight. Call it stress but I started to be concerned about a pain that I was

getting in my chest.

Following a blood test at the doctors it informed me that my blood fats were to

high and the Doctor informed me I was on the borders of needing a prescription to bring] my due to my bloodlines history of heart attacks (though she said there was no proof that a parents Siblings effected their progeny).

Wake up!!!! I instantly removed from my diet butter, cheese (love cheese!) and didn’t eat chocolate

or anything that had a high fat content. Increased foods that helped with cholesterol (foods from the supermarket nothing professing magical properties just normal food) and started Mountain biking to the then newly started job (ten miles there and back off road, 14 miles by tarmac).

I purchased a set of scales that initially showed my fat levels being 25 or 26 which was much to

high I have now reduced it 20-21 which is normal. I am now 12 and a half stone and once again

my original healthy self. I haven’t been back to the doctors and no longer feel the

silly need to rent a Zoll M defibrillator on the off chance, because I am confident my cholesterol levels are

back under control even giving myself chocolate, cheese and butter in sensible amounts.

If you believe that you are overweight or have a very sedentary life and suffer from

being without energy think about what you consume and begin exercising it wont take

long (about a year for me) to have a real effect to your life.
